Art works of Rudolf II’s Era

Rudolf II exhibitionThe exhibition ‘The Masters of Rudolf II’s Era’ is shown at the Prague City Museum until the end of March this year. ‘The Masters of Rudolf II’s Era’ exhibition shows a wide range of various art works such as paintings and drawings of the collection of Rudolf II.

The famous art collection of Rudolf II used to be the largest art collection that ever existed but after the death of the emperor most of the collection was replaced to Vienna and some of the paintings were brought to Sweden to please Queen Christina. At the exhibition ‘The Masters of Rudolf II’s Era’ visitors have the chance to discover the most outstanding items of the collection of the emperor. At the exhibition art works of the most famous and influential painters of this era are on display such as Bartholomeus Spranger, Hans von Aachen, Joseph Heintz the Elder, Pieter Stevens, Dirk de Quade van Ravesteyn, Matthias Gundelach and Adriaen de Vries. Apart from these several other images are shown to the visitors which were added by the Prague City Museum.

The exhibition ‘The Masters of Rudolf II’s Era’ takes place from 12th November 2014 to 29th March 2015 at the Prague City Museum.

Prague Marathon 2015

Prague MarathonOne of the most interesting and most charming city in Europe without any questions is Prague. Prague is the capital and also the largest city of the Czech Republic and it is often called the ‘Golden City’. On May 3rd in 2015 it is time for the annual Prague Marathon again in this beautiful city!

Prague gives home to some of the most beautiful cultural attractions which attracts thousands of people from all over the world. Alongside the attractions in the city plenty of various programs and activities are waiting for the visitors during the whole year. One of the most popular event in the life of the city is the Prague Marathon. The annual Prague Marathon is an international sport event which is considered one of the best marathons in Europe. Every year the Prague Marathon takes place around the Prague Spring Festival. The race starts at the Old Town Square in the heart of the city and leads around the most beautiful spots and narrow streets of the city including the famous Charles Bridge. After the runners cross the Charles Bridge the race sneaks through the Old Town and crosses the Vlatva river several times. The race also goes through the modern part and areas of the city and it ends at the Old Town Square again. The Prague Marathon is all together 26 miles which mostly leads through flat course. This year the International Prague Marathon will be held on 3rd May in 2015 and the race starts at 9 in the morning. The main goal of the marathon is to finish the race within 7 hours.
