Currency in Prague

The Czech koruna is the currency in Czech Republic and it has been the currency in Czech Republic since 1993. The nation has an economy which could make it possible to adopt the Euro and the original plan was to start using it from 2012, but the government has skipped these plans.

To get hold of Czech koruna the best thing you can do is to use a local ATM either at the airport of Prague or wherever you find one in the city. Doing so you will not pay commission fees, only a fee for withdrawing money from your card abroad. If you want to change money then you can do so around in town, but as always it is smart to check out several places and compare them before you do the final changing of money. Changing at the airport is as always the worst place to change money.
