Easter Market in Prague 2015

Easter is just around the corner which means the annual Easter Market will open its gates this year again. Easter is one of the biggest Christian feast which celebrates the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Easter is a movable feast which means it is not fixed to the civil calendar so this year the Easter Market will take place from 21st March until 11th April in 2015.

Easter Market in Prague

At the market you can get all the related items to Eastern and there will be countless programs during the feast. The traditional annual Easter Market will take place in the ancient Old Town Square in the centre of the city. The market await all the visitors with beautiful Easter decorations such as the various painted eggs, whips, lace and wooden products. Apart from this there will be a special Easter program for the visitors with children’s activities, folk music and dance, various concerts and so on. So this year the Easter Market will be held from 21st March until 11th April in the Old Town Square in Prague and the event is free for everyone.

Praha - PragueIt is 2014 and in not so long the annual Christmas Markets will come to Prague again. This is a major tourist attractions and tens of thousands of people come to Prague before Christmas to do their pre-Christmas shopping, drink som hot wine and to eat traditional Czech food.

The two biggest Christmas markets in Prague at the one at the Old Town Square and the one  at Wenceslas Square. If you are doing your planning now and wondering when the Christmas markets in Prague will be open and available, then here comes the answer.

November 29th – January 11th

It is worth noticing that the January 11th date has not been totally confirmed, but the fact that the Christmas Markets will open at November 29th is a fact, so you can start planning your trip to Prague already and get ready for handicraft fair, lots of sausages, white bread, beer, hot wine and other cool stuff at the Prague Christmas markets in 2014.

Christmas markets in Prague in 2013

Christmas is approaching and so are the traditional Christmas markets in Prague. The official opening of the two most important and biggest Christmas markets in Prague will take place on November 30th.

Christmas markets in Prague in 2013The biggest and most famous Christmas market in Prague is located in the heart of the city at the Old Town Square. Here you can see the lightening of the Christmas tree every day at 17.00. In addition there will be live music, concerts and lots of delicious food and handicraft for the visitors coming to this market, so make sure not to miss out on it when coming to Prague.

The other big Christmas markets in Prague in 2013 will be arranged at the Wencel square. This is only a five minute walk from the Old Town Square, so it is very easy to visit both markets in one evening (if one evening is all that you have got in Prague). You can buy very similar stuff at both markets, but still there is a different atmosphere to both of them, so make sure to spend some hours at both locations.

Christmas is only a bit more than a month away, and that means that the Christmas markets are right around the corner. In Prague they normally open around 4 weeks before Christmas, so that means from the end of November, start of December you can already enjoy these markets where you can find Christmas presents, food, drinks, sausages and all kinds of stuff.
