People coming to Prague in May often come because of the annual Beer Festival which last for a couple of weeks in May. In 2017 you will have one more major reason to come to Prague in May and that is the Depeche Mode concert. This Prague concert will be arranged on May 24 and the venue for the event is Eden Arena (which was formerly called the Synot Tip Arena). The concert itself is supposed to start at 19.00 and if you want to be there at the Depeche Mode concert in Prague you can buy tickets from the site to referred to further down in the article.

This Depeche Mode concert will be one out of several concerts in Europe in 2017. They will not only visit Prague, but they will also visit Bratislava, Budapest, Stockholm, Antwerpen, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Nice and lots of other cities. The tour will celebrate their album “Spirit” which will be released in the spring of 2017. Be sure to listen to the album before the tour so that you will be in tune with the new songs which will be played during the Depeche Mode concert in Prague as well.

On January 22nd it is time for a Green Day concert in Prague. This is only one day after the Green Day concert in Krakow, so get ready to rock with Green Day in Tesla Arena in Prague.

Green Day is one of the biggest rock bands in the world right now, and they have been so for a long time. We are not so big Green Day fans, but we must admit that Basket Case from Green Day still is a song that makes us smile whenever we hear it. Can Basked Case bring a smile to your face as well? Check out the Basket Case video beneath and listen to the song. If it does, then maybe you will want to come to Prague on January 22nd to be there at the Green Day concert in Prague as well?

World Cup 2018 qualification: Czech Republic vs Norway

On November 11th it is time for the last World Cup qualification match in 2018. It will be played in Prague and the match between Czech Republic and Norway will start at 20.45.

Czech Republic and Norway has ended up in a tough World Cup qualification group. By the time we write this article Czech Republic has played one match against Northern Ireland at home (which ended 0-0) and Norway has played one match at home against Germany (and lost 3-0). Norway has two easy matches coming up in October before the match against Czech Republic in Norway as they will play against Azerbaijan and San Marino. Now Azerbaijan isn’t an easy opponent, but if the Norwegians want hope to stay alive, then they will need a victory in both those matches.

Czech Republic would have wanted three points against Northern Ireland, but did not succeed with that. Their next match in October will be against Germany (in Germany) and then a match at home against Azerbaijan afterwards. A realistic goal in front of these matches is probably to get three points and a victory against Azerbaijan, but if they could get some points against Germany as well that would be great!

Czech Republic vs Norway on November 11th

If you want to be there and watch the match between the Czech Republic and Norway on November 11th, then you can buy tickets from Viagogo. Those are quite expensive tickets, so you can probably find cheaper tickets elsewhere. But, if you can’t find cheaper tickets elsewhere then you might want to use the website mentioned.

Most people consider the Czech team to be big favorites in front of this match. Norway has lost lots of matches lately and they are not at all as good as they once were. The Czech Republic did some great matches during the European Championship this summer, but unfortunately that was not enough to get to the play-off stage.

Czech football is going strong and this autumn there are three teams from the Czech Republic in the Europe League. The most important team is of course Sparta Prague and we hope you will come to town to cheer for them on their game days.

Czech football is getting better and better, and even though the nation squad only managed to play 0-0 against Northern Ireland in their World Cup qualification opening match, we still have great faith in the club squads in Europe League. In Prague you will find lots of Christmas markets, but the most important and famous markets are located at the Old Town Square and at the Wenceslas square. At these squares you can buy hot wine, authentic Czech sausages, lots of delicious food and of course souvenirs that only look nice on such a market, and when you get home you do not even understand why you bought them. But, that is kind of the spirit of a Christmas market, so come and enjoy the annual Christmas markets in Prague in 2016 as well.
