Titanic Live in Prague

Titanic LiveGood news for the Titanic lovers because the Titanic Live show will visit Prague as well during its tour in 2015. Titanic Live show is a real life cinematic event which will bring to life the epic score of James Horner from Titanic by Celtic musicians, choir and a 90 piece orchestra while the movie will be projected in HD on a huge screen in the background.

Titanic which was written and also produced by James Cameron is still one of the greatest movies in the history of cinema. Titanic is one of the few movies that won 11 Academy Awards including Best Original Song and Dramatic Score.

The Titanic Live European Arena Tour will start in the summer of 2015 and the show will be seen in Prague at the O2 Arena on Sunday on the 14th June 2015. The next day on Monday on the 15th June 2015 the Titanic Live show will take place in Munich, Germany. Tickets for the live show are already available.

Easter Market in Prague 2015

Easter is just around the corner which means the annual Easter Market will open its gates this year again. Easter is one of the biggest Christian feast which celebrates the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Easter is a movable feast which means it is not fixed to the civil calendar so this year the Easter Market will take place from 21st March until 11th April in 2015.

Easter Market in Prague

At the market you can get all the related items to Eastern and there will be countless programs during the feast. The traditional annual Easter Market will take place in the ancient Old Town Square in the centre of the city. The market await all the visitors with beautiful Easter decorations such as the various painted eggs, whips, lace and wooden products. Apart from this there will be a special Easter program for the visitors with children’s activities, folk music and dance, various concerts and so on. So this year the Easter Market will be held from 21st March until 11th April in the Old Town Square in Prague and the event is free for everyone.

This market is quite similar to the Christmas market, so if you can not come to Prague for Christmas, make sure to check out this market at least!

European Athletics Indoor Championships Praha 2015

AthleticsThe European Athletics Indoor Championships will be held again in 2015 in the capital city of the Czech Republic in Prague. The European Athletics Championships is a biennial indoor competition for European athletes which is organised by the European Athletic Association.

The athletic competition used to be held annually until 1990 then it was changed to its current biennial format. The first European Athletics Indoor Championships was held in 1970 in Austria in Vienna at the Stadthalle which replaced the European Indoor Games. The European Athletics Indoor Championships is held each year in one of the European cities and this year the indoor athletics game will be held in Prague. The previous competition in 2013 was held in Göteborg at the Scandinavium in Sweden the next European Athletics Indoor Championship which will be held in 2017 will take place in Belgrade in Serbia at the Belgrade Arena and this year the European Athletics Indoor Championships will be held in Prague at the O2 Arena from 5th March 2015 to 8th March 2015. Don Giovanni in Prague

Don Giovanni in PragueThe Don Giovanni will be shown in Prague from the middle of February until June this year. The Don Giovanni is an opera in two acts with music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte.

The opera is based on the legends of Don Juan/Don Giovanni who is a fictional libertine and a seducer whose story is told by several authors. The main characters in the opera is Don Giovanni, Leporello who is the servant of Don Giovanni, II Commendatore, Donna Anna the daughter of II Commendatore who is engaged to Don Ottavio, Don Ottavio, Donna Elvira who is abandoned by Don Giovanni , Masetto who is a peasant and Zerlina who is Masetto’s fiancée. The story of Don Giovanni takes place in the 17th century in Spain about Don Giovanni who tries his chance at any women he meets including Donna Anna, Donna Elvira and Zerlina as well and in the end he gets his price for being libertine and seducing all the woman.

The Don Giovanni opera will be shown several times in the capital city of the Czech Republic in Prague. The first opera will be on Friday 13th February in 2015 at 19.00 at the Theatre of the Estates and the last on August 22nd.

Prague Marathon 2015

Prague MarathonOne of the most interesting and most charming city in Europe without any questions is Prague. Prague is the capital and also the largest city of the Czech Republic and it is often called the ‘Golden City’. On May 3rd in 2015 it is time for the annual Prague Marathon again in this beautiful city!

Prague gives home to some of the most beautiful cultural attractions which attracts thousands of people from all over the world. Alongside the attractions in the city plenty of various programs and activities are waiting for the visitors during the whole year. One of the most popular event in the life of the city is the Prague Marathon. The annual Prague Marathon is an international sport event which is considered one of the best marathons in Europe. Every year the Prague Marathon takes place around the Prague Spring Festival. The race starts at the Old Town Square in the heart of the city and leads around the most beautiful spots and narrow streets of the city including the famous Charles Bridge. After the runners cross the Charles Bridge the race sneaks through the Old Town and crosses the Vlatva river several times. The race also goes through the modern part and areas of the city and it ends at the Old Town Square again. The Prague Marathon is all together 26 miles which mostly leads through flat course. This year the International Prague Marathon will be held on 3rd May in 2015 and the race starts at 9 in the morning. The main goal of the marathon is to finish the race within 7 hours.

Ice skating in Prague

There are plenty of programs and different activities in the capital of the Czech Republic in Prague and Prague is one of the most visited European cities which attracts thousands and millions of people each year. Apart from the various attractions, the different historical monuments Prague also gives home to the best programs the whole year from the different festivals, carnivals, markets, concerts to the colourful performances.
Ice Skating Prague
No matter which time of the year you visit Prague there will be always something going on in the city. If you like ice skating then the new ice skating rink is one of the best choice for you during a visit in Prague. A new ice skating ring has just opened last year at Christmas in the city.

The new ice skating rink takes place at Žižkov TV Tower which is open every day from Monday to Sunday. The cheapest ticket is for € 2.5 and the most expensive is for € 5. The prices are depend on the day and time of day you want to visit the ice rink, at the weekend and on Friday it is more expensive than in the beginning of the week on Monday morning or on Tuesday morning.

The ice skating rink opened on December 25th in 2014 and will be open until March 31st in 2015.

Carnival in Prague in 2015

The Carnevale Praha will be back in town again this year from the beginning of February to the middle of February. The carnival takes place all over Prague at different spots in the city.

The Carnevale Praha is one of the largest outdoor event in the life of the city and its history rooted back to long time to the medieval times. Each year the city turns into a big carnival in February and the Carnevale Praha is all about celebrating the human joy. The event takes place everywhere in the city in places such as theatres, galleries, museums, schools, restaurants, shops and workshops as well. The festival is held annually in Prague and it is one of the most popular festivals in the city which attracts thousands of people each year. The Carnevale Praha is inspired by the colourful festival which was held in Bohemia during the Baroque era.

Following the old traditions at this special time of the year whole Prague turns into a big and vibrant carnival. During the Carnevale Praha plenty of programs and various activities will be held such as different concerts, dance, theatre performances, masked balls, children’s ball, workshops and many more.

Top events in Prague in 2015

In this article we will list some of the most interesting events in the life of Prague in 2015. Prague is the capital city of the Czech Republic and is among the most beautiful and vibrant cities in whole Europe.

Like in every year Prague will give home to the best cultural, film, beer and different food festivals as well. One of the most awaited festivals in Prague is definitely the Czech Beer Festival. The Czech Republic is famous of its various beers and the year would not be complete without at least one festival focusing on the different types of Czech beers. In 2015 the Czech Beer Festival will be held from 7th May to 23rd May in the centre of Prague. At the festival visitors will have the chance to explore and try the best Czech beers alongside with the most traditional Czech dishes as well.

Another awaited festival of the year is the “Prague Spring” Music Festival which will be held from 12th May until 3rd June in 2015. At the festival visitors can enjoy the different classical music, ballet, opera performances.

Apart from the various festivals in Prague there will be countless concerts in the whole year and visitors can enjoy the performances of the biggest names such as Ed Sheeran, Sting, Katy Perry, Roxette, Andre Rieu, Nickelback and Andrea Bocelli in the end of the year. Close to the end of the year around Christmas when the weather gets cold the Christmas markets will open their gates in the city again. Usually the Christmas markets appears in the end of November and they are open until the end of December or in the beginning of January.
